Disneyland

In early February, Johnathon and I took our little ladies to Disneyland for a last minute 'vacation' before we headed to Illinois. We had a blast!!

We slept in that morning and got on the road around 10am. Since it's only an hour trip, we weren't in any rush to arrive. We checked into out hotel less than a block away and walked to the park.

It was a beautiful day and I couldn't have planned it any better. All three girls were in great moods and the lines weren't too horrible. Every Disneyland worker really went out of their way to make our experience on to remember. The girls were treated like princesses and they loved it.

We spent the bulk of our day in Toon Town walking through the homes of Mickey and Minnie. We were even lucky enough to pump into them numerous times. By the 5th time of seeing them (in yet another outfit) I told the girls that we didn't have time to wait in line AGAIN and that we were going to keep walking...mean mommy moment! They cried!

oops!

We decided to go ahead and have lunch at the park. It was a little pricey, but totally worth it.

I hate to admit it, but I think we got a little special attention for the simple fact that we had twins. Anymore, people do not gawk at us in public, but who could blame them for noticing two just beautiful little redheads? :) There were a few awkward moments where a Disneyland worker gave the girls a special button or balloon and completely ignored the few little girls behind us. I felt horrible and even spoke up once.

Of course I love when people notice my girls, but it really puts me in an uncomfortable position when people are just rude.

{Alyssa, Madelynn, Allison} Madelynn was a hoot! She was making friends everywhere we went. Her smile is contagious.

She laughed on every ride and ran around like there was no tomorrow. She even loved all of the characters!!

We got Madelynn her first set of Mickey ears...the same pink ones that Alyssa and Allison got on their first trip. The older girls got Minnie ears with a bow this time. They loved them and wore them throughout the rest of the park. {Alyssa, Allison} {Allison, Alyssa} We got very lucky while entering the park and were the first ones to spot Minnie Mouse coming our from behind the gate. We were the first in line and got to spend a decent amount of time with her. {Allison} Alyssa was the first to walk up to her and was just smitten. {Minnie, Alyssa, Allison} Allison was lucky enough to get a kiss on the forehead. She still talks about it and remembers it clearly...ask her!
It was still early in the evening when we decided to head back to our hotel.

We ordered pizza, watched the Super Bowl and then headed to bed.

It was a blast!
