34 Weeks & Freaking Out!

This is what "The Bump" has to say about the baby...

Baby’s senses are continuing to improve -- when light peeks in through your (extremely) stretched belly, those tiny eyelids and irises blink and dilate. And, baby can now recognize and react to simple songs… time to start practicing your lullabies! Growth (at least inside your womb) is starting to slow, and you may notice baby descend into your pelvis at the end of this month.

i think that may be a sugar coated way of explaining what is going on in my uterus. haha! for the most part i am feeling fine. i have the usual annoying menstrual like cramping and lower back pain that i have had for the last few weeks. i guess the worst thing that is happening is that i lost even MORE of my mucus plug today. a pretty large among actually and its still a little freaky. no matter what anyone says about it, seeing that green glob on the toilet is freaky and unsettling. i am officially 34 weeks along at this point and every day that passes is a huge milestone for me. every night when i go to bed i am so thankful to have kept this baby in for one more precious day and i am that much closer to having Johnny home with us. its a win/win really!

Johnny pulls into San Diego one week from tomorrow so please keep him in your thoughts. its been a long few months and it will be nice to know that it is all over for awhile.

the twins are doing great! they are both finally over being sick. its such a relief to have them sleeping through the night again. i think they can both tell that things are about to change around them. i also think that they can tell that their daddy is coming home soon. they ask and talk about him a lot more lately and are even starting to take an interest in the paper chain that we made for the countdown of his arrival!

well, we made my belly cast! it was NOTHING like i was expecting and it actually turned out AWFUL in the beginning. i had to somewhat lay down to do it and because of that it turned out a little too wide for my liking. when it was finally all said and done, i stood up to realize that neither of the sides were actually touching me. :( i went to wal-mart and bought some spackle to help beef it up a little and it is really starting to come together. i think i will more than proud of the finished product. i will leave it at that for now, but expect pictures and all the gory details in a few days. my sisters and i also made a diaper cake for my baby shower. it is a gift from my mom and sisters, but i got to help considering there isn't much else for me to do around here. i will post those pictures when i post the ones of the belly cast. all i am going to say is that it is HUGE! (and beautiful of course)

xoxo
