I'm curious.
What do all of you Mommas out there do to organize your kiddos shoes?
My girls are at the age (almost 3...gasp!) where they can go get their shoes, put them on and attempt to put them away later.
We've tried a basket...they emptied it and sat in the basket.
We've tried to organize them nicely...we now have a huge pile.
What do you do?
I want to be able to keep them in the living room by the front door, but they need to have some sort of order. HELP!

I keep my daughter shoes on our stairs leading to the upstairs i fthey are by the door they end up everywhere or in a huge pile!
we put ours in the amoire (sp?) in their room
We have them on shelves in baskets in our entry way closet. I saw someone once have a milk crate type thing for each kid to put all their shoes...they might take them out but they should be old enough to pick them up, maybe ?? Good luck Mama! :)
I have a shoe organizer hanging up behind the coat closet door. I keep the pairs of shoes that she can put on by herself at the bottom and the nicer pairs or difficult to put on by herself more towards the top.
