Coincidence or Baby Genius?
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Psalm 127:3

-being a stay-at-home mom has always been something that i wanted to do with my children. i want to be an active part of their lives and i want to be the one to influence them and send them in the right direction. i love every minute that i spend with my daughters. they are so full of energy and love! everyday they learn something new and they are such an inspiration. this is all wonderful, but DANG! some days just seem to go on, and on, and on.....AND ON! i spend 90% of my day in the "playroom" with the girls. there is a TV, the computer...and toys. it works well for us, but by the end of the day i am ready for a break. i try to break up the day by going on a walk or going to the park, but that doesn't last long. i decided last night that there would be NO TV today. i am not one of those mothers who is against TV or anything...i am just getting sick of Cinderella. hehe. i made a CD of all sorts of children's sing along songs and christian songs for the girls to learn. (someone please explain to me why i didn't do this sooner) the girls LOVED it! they spent the whole day shaking their heads and arms. i kept the CD on repeat and we danced for hours. needless to say...they are wore out and ready for bed. :)...so am i! johnny is in school this week and won't be home for another hour. i feel bad on most days because he has such a short amount of time to play with the girls before its time for bed. luckily he makes up for it on the weekends.
i had a few funny things happen to me today. for starters, the girls woke up at 8:45 this morning (its getting earlier everyday) and of course alyssa was diaper less! i looked for her diaper (just glanced around the room) and assumed it was just peed and that i would get it at nap time. we had a great morning playing and nap time couldn't have come any sooner. i grabbed the girls and went to put them to bed...but was knocked in the face with an AWFUL smell in their bedroom. i FINALLY found alyssa's diaper when i moved her crib. it was FULL of nasty poop. i realized by looking at the diaper that she must have had some fun with it before she threw it. poop was all over the wall. UGH! it took me about a half hour to get everything cleaned up and smelling descent. i think its onesies from now on for that child!! she knows how to take everything else off. :(

my second story isn't exactly funny, but strange. i spent a large part of the day cleaning and organizing the playroom. i am sick of stepping on toys and hurting myself. i made piles of toys belonging to different categories and put ALL of the balls back in the "rhino" ball pit! (the girls' favorite thing to do is throw EACH and EVERY ball out on the floor) i gave up on cleaning the playroom a long time ago because of the fact that the girls trashed it so bad everyday. anyway...back to the story! i was on the phone with my mom today (like EVERYDAY it was for hours at a time...50% of the time i was on hold hehe) she put me on hold and i decided to turn around and see what the girls were up to. alyssa was off chewing on something like always; allison was in the ball pit looking very preoccupied. it took me a minute to figure out what she was doing. she had taken EVERY yellow ball out of the "rhino". i'm sure that the yellow just caught her eye, but i was on cloud nine.

When you get into a tight place, and it seems you can't go on, hold on,
for that's just the place and time that the tide will turn.
