This week...

Wasn't it just last week that I realized February had come and gone in a blink of the eye? Now I am sitting here wondering where March has gone. I am amazed at how quickly these weeks are passing by.

The girls had their eye appointments yesterday and everything went very well. The glasses seem to be working, but Allison may need to get a stronger prescription in a few months.

Speaking of Allison, she had the last of her birthmark removed on Monday. The surgery went extremely well and she doesn't seem to be in too much pain. She wasn't nearly this calm the last time around.

Madelynn had her penrose drain removed Monday night and she is healing very nicely. The swelling has gone down and she is back to her spunky up-beat self. She has had a little set back with her potty training though with two accidents today, but that is to be expected with the trauma that my little baby went through.

I cannot say enough how proud I am of Alyssa and Allison. Our goal this week was to get them to go to bed a little better. Over the last few weeks, they had been getting worse about getting out of bed and asking for a drink, snack, hugs, kisses, bathroom breaks...it was exhausting! After 7 days of being consistent and repeating the rules over and over and over and over again, they now go to bed with no lamp, no night-light, no book and their door shut without opening it once. I don't hear a peep out of them and this momma actually gets a few minutes of silence every night. AMEN! :)

Our bedtime rules are:
1) No lights.
2) No talking.
3) No getting up.
4) Go to sleep.

Pretty simple right?
