Thoughts...

I feel like I am in a slump lately.

In my blog.
In my housework.
In my life.

Things are still getting done...just without much enthusiasm.

It's a three day weekend, so that gives me something to look forward to.

The twins are still learning about the ocean in school. We made paper plate crabs and octopus windsocks the other day. I ask each of them to name as many ocean animals as they can and in return they get an M&M for each correct animal. It's a win/win in my book!

They are also counting to 20 {almost} flawlessly and we are working on counting to 30. I think they may just be starting to understand the concept and how easy it is to count. Wahoo! :)

I am now convinced that the Letter People are working. Each day we do a new letter and watch the video of said letter. The girls now know the sound of letters A-E...and we are working on others. Soon I am going to really push their sight word and see if any of this is sinking in. {cross your fingers}

My babies will also be turning 3 in T minus 32 days.
:( It's very bittersweet.

We will be having a small party...
probably just the 5 of us...
maybe a few friends...
who knows!

I think Madelynn may be teasing me. She is a pro at getting onto all fours, but still seems clueless as what to do when she gets there. She scoots and moves her knees, but eventually falls on her face because she doesn't quite know how to move her arms just yet.

She still can't seem to eat bananas {baby food of course} because the consistency is too think for her. Everything else seems to be a breeze. I think I may start to make some of my own baby food. It's something I have been thinking about for awhile now and I'm ready to give it a try. Alyssa and Allison are constantly asking me to eat some of Madelynn's baby food, so this way, they can enjoy it too. Wish me luck!

Johnathon is doing great. Just working hard and spending time with his little girls. We've talked about having a boy, but there is no denying that he was meant to be the daddy to girls! The way he plays with them...the way they look at him...it's precious!

As for me? I just spent 2 hours outside with the older girls. We had some watermelon, played with sidewalk chalk and I even let them play in the water. Lunch was a combo of whatever I could grab....a la cart I guess you could say. Olives, cheese, bell peppers, more watermelon, left over mac'n'cheese...you know, healthy stuff! haha.

I've been thinking a lot about what my future holds. I know that my desire is to continue to stay home with my children, homeschool them and raise them. However, I'd like to say that I contribute to our family. Our income.

I've decided to try photography. I already consider it a hobby and think that this may be just what I need. It just makes sense. We'll see where this takes me! :)

Fabulous idea! You would be a great photographer. But only do it if you want to because you already contribute greatly to your family.
