It's A Girl!
i had my ultrasound today and we found out that we are having our third adorable little daughter. we are thrilled!! i have even already been to wal-mart to make my rounds and start stocking up. :) the ultrasound tech. said that the baby is perfectly happy and healthy. she is measuring exactly where she should be and was VERY active. she was so active in fact, that we had a hard time measuring her and finding out the sex. she is currently in the breech position and sitting on my bladder. (lovely!) we were originally going to have the sex of the baby put in an envelope and let Johnny open it in a few weeks, but the plans changed when he called my cell phone just moments before we found out. he was able to listen on the phone as the tech. told us the good news. of course, he was beyond happy. while he was on the phone we also got to see the baby open/close her mouth and open/close her fist. she was tossing, turning and crossing her legs. it was so much different this time than it was with the twins. with them, there was never enough room to see or notice the small but amazing movements.
yes, i am a little bummed that i STILL can't buy anything blue, but as i was walking through wal-mart today i realized that if i were in fact buying blue things...i would be sad. i would never get to buy small frilly dresses again. i was like a kid in a candy store as i picked out pink shoes and hair bows. it was a blast.
only 15 more days until Johnny is here and i can't wait! i think i am doing pretty good considering the fact that i haven't seen him since Easter, but its killing me. when he is away i feel like a part of me is missing and i can't be 100% happy about anything. i am not missing anything in particular, just the small moments and conversations. i wish he were here to watch the twins grow and learn. they are like little sponges at the moment and copying EVERYTHING i do or say. i love seeing the look on their faces when they realize that they have learned something new. i love that they can now ask for something or somewhat tell me how they are feeling. these are all things i wish he could be witnessing!
well, its hot and sticky here...i just wanted to let everyone know the great news and keep you updated!! take care.
