We took full advantage of a sunny Saturday and spent our day at the beach.
Even Madelynn got in her swimsuit and tagged along.
We were a little scared to venture out with our three little ones, but thankfully the sand kept them busy and out of trouble.
There were clear blue skies...
hot sand between our toes...
the sun on our skin!

The girls had sand E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.R.E!
Alyssa loooved the water...Allison was a little unsure.
Regardless, they both had a blast while running from the waves.

My favorite part was watching them make their first sand castles.
So many wonderful memories were made.
The girls and I walked along the shore looking for sea shells.
I would find one and casually drop it in front of them for them to "find"...they were THRILLED!
They kept telling me that we were treasure hunting! :)
We only got the girls to leave because we told them that they could eat watermelon on the way home. haha...they are too much like me!
Sure enough, they ate every last piece before we pulled into the drive way.
We all settled down for a much needed nap and slept the rest of the day away.

I love your beautiful beach pictures! I know you all had fun.
I am taking a spin class and loving it. The first 3-4 classes were hard but it gets better. I am loving it now.
I so miss living close to the beach. We went last summer, not sure if we'll make it this summer.
SD has a great Children's Mueseum (or at least it used to, downtown) not sure of its hours. Reuben H Fleet Space Theater and Meuseum has some fun activities.
