Way Back When-esday!!

At this very time 3 years ago...almost to the day, these were our little girls!

At just over 8 weeks in the NICU, our girls were finally able to co-sleep in the same open crib. It was a day I will NEVER forget.

We showed up at the hospital fully expecting to see our babes in their familiar incubators and to hear about how they wouldn't bottle feed. :(

Imagine our surprise when we learned that they had been moved across the hall to the 'Feeders & Growers' room and were in the SAME crib. Not only that, but if you look very closely you will notice that Alyssa (baby A on the left) is without her feeding tube. This was the first time we successfully fed her the whole bottle and she was able to keep it down!

This was a HUGE day for us. A milestone!

Awesome picture. And what a sweet story to go along with it!

What a wonderful picture to remind you of your great surprise that day. My girls are about the same age as yours, and we were only in the NICU for 3 weeks, but we had a similar surprise about halfway through! So I know it was a happy day for you too. :o)
